Did you know that studies show 85% of professionals believe a collaborative environment is key to their career growth (source)? It’s not just about the technical skills you bring – having the right people around you can fast-track your success.
That’s where YPP comes in – Macrix’s dedicated program for students. It’s designed not only to build young people’s technical expertise but also to immerse them in a supportive, yet challenging, environment.
The bonus for Macrix? We can shape the next generation of developers, sharing the same values and mindset.
The bonus for YPP participants? They could land a job after just 3 months of training.
Curious how it feels to work side-by-side with experienced professionals?
Did our latest YPP participants gain both practical knowledge and the soft skills needed to thrive in the industry? Who stayed in our company?

1- The 3rd edition of YPP in numbers
2 participants / 3 months / 3 mentors / 1 project task
The 3rd edition started on July 1 and lasted until September 30, 2024. During the recruitment process, Raman Yudzeska and Bartłomiej Szczepanik were selected as the most promising candidates. Bartosz Pierzchlewicz, Piotr Pietrzak, Rustam Ashurov, Łukasz Hoffmann, Claudia Sójka, Kamil Wilkosz – those are the people that were involved in development process for Young Potentials.
The YPP spans 500 hours over 3 months, with participants covering 13 topics divided into theory, self-study, and practice – each receiving about 26 hours, in total 150 hours. They also gain 350 hours of real-world experience through a commercial project.
The final project, a crucial part of the program, was completed in 7 days.
2- Exceptional growth, shorter project deadlines but still good vibes
The third edition of the Young Potentials Program was really special for several reasons:
Already on the recruitment stage, we had a talented group of candidates. One individual truly stood out with exceptional growth and skills (shot out to Bartłomiej Szczepanik!).
The participants showed big progress, especially in their technical abilities and their eagerness to apply new insights quickly.
The final projects received following punctation: 17/25 points (Raman) and 23/25 points (Bartłomiej).
We changed the project requirements and gave the participants a shorter timeframe for the final project because we have recognized the higher skill level of this year’s group, and they responded brilliantly to the challenge.
3- Bartłomiej Szczepanik – few words about the winner of 3rd YPP
Bartek joined Macrix without prior commercial experience. He studied at Czestochowa University of Technology and relocated from Czestochowa to Poznan. His primary interest lies in backend technologies, particularly C#, but he is also familiar with React and JavaScript. Bartek integrated smoothly into the Poznan team, especially getting well along with his colleagues.
4- Final project
For the final project (full-stack project), participants had just seven days to design and develop a contact book app. Unit tests and an object-oriented approach were also mandatory for the project.
Further requirements:
- Fields Required – there were certain field to include in the app, like: first & last name, address, city, date of birth, age etc.
- Validation – fields must be validated (e.g., no numbers in the first name).
- Technology Stack – for backend latest version of .NET (Web API) and for frontend React, Angular or Blazor.
Overall, participants worked independently but could seek help from colleagues and coaches. During evaluation focus was on user experience, quality, and compliance with requirements.
At the end of the program, everyone presented their projects, showing off the skills they’d picked up.
The winning project – Bartek’s – had a clear interface. It had features like contact search, sorting, photo uploads, and duplicate detection. The code was structured, and the app worked on different screen sizes, showing attention to detail. Bartek presented his work, explaining his design choices and answering technical questions. Overall he received 23/25 points in punctuation.
